Outside School Hours Care

Whitsunday Christian College runs an Outside School Hours Care program for the convenience of our families.  Our aim is to provide high quality school age care and recreation for the benefit of the College and the wider community, with a fun, caring, stimulating, safe and supervised Christian environment that enhances the child’s physical, spiritual, emotional and social development.

This service caters for students in Prep to Year 6 from 3:00pm - 6:00pm term time.  Afternoon tea is provided.  Students in Prep - Year 6 meet at the bus area next to the College Hall and are collected by the Educator at 3:00pm and walked to the Outside School Hours Care facility.

An Outside School Hours Care Enrolment Form will need to be completed and forwarded to Administration.  This is a first come first serve basis, with a maximum of 24 places available per day.  All enrolment forms are required to be fully completed including copies of Birth Certificate and Immunisation records, before any applications will be accepted.

Applications can be submitted to College Administration between 8:00am - 4:00pm weekdays or email

The Outside School Hours Care service also holds an exciting fun-filled Vacation Care program every school holidays.

Vacation Care hours are from 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday, not including public holidays.  More information will be provided to families closer to the school holiday breaks.

Payment Information

Outside School Hours Care is $27.00 per session and $30.00 for a casual booking.  Vacation Care sessions are $55 per day and $70 for incursions or excursions.  Payments can be made at Administration or by direct debit.

Out of pocket expense will depend of your Child Care Subsidy.

The Outside School Hours Care program will be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy for eligible families. You will need to provide your CRN number to be eligible for the benefit.

It is highly recommended that if you do not have a ‘myGov’ account, you go to and create an account to enable you to obtain the Child Care Subsidy. Once you have completed this step our service will be able to pass the subsidy onto you.
