Primary School
The primary years lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning. At Whitsunday Christian College, we provide a nurturing, and engaging environment where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to flourish in a connected community.
Our dedicated teachers partner with families to develop confident learners who are growing academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Through high quality teaching, genuine pastoral care, and a Christ centred approach, students are supported to discover their strengths, build strong character, and develop a love of learning.
Learning is purposeful, engaging, and personalised to meet the needs of every child. Alongside a strong focus on literacy and numeracy, students experience a broad curriculum enriched through specialist subjects, outdoor education, sport, Chapel, leadership opportunities, and a wide range of co-curricular experiences.
Our Primary School is made up of two distinct learning phases that recognise the developmental needs of children as they grow:
-
Foundation Phase – Prep to Year 2
-
Junior Phase – Years 3 to 6

Get Ready for Prep
A confident start belongs here.
Starting school is a significant milestone for every child and family. Our Get Ready for Prep program provides children with the opportunity to become familiar with the College, meet our staff, build new friendships, and develop confidence before their first day of school. It is one of the many ways we partner with families to ensure every child enjoys a positive and successful start to their educational journey.
