Enrolment

Thank you for your interest in Whitsunday Christian College.

We strive to provide a values-based, independent Christian education, with a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.

We welcome children from a variety of Christian backgrounds and traditions, as well as families who – while not necessarily Christian – seek a Christian school culture and educational experience for their children. We believe that every student should have the opportunity to grow in faith, learning, and character. With our dedicated teachers, we aim to set students up for success.

Key Info

What year should my child go into?

Every parent or carer will want to know when their child needs to start school. This start date is determined by the child's date of birth and the cut off dates set by the state government where the child will attend school.

In Queensland, Prep is the first year of school and provides the foundation for your child's education.

  • Prep – This is the first year of school and children must be aged five by the 30th June in the year they enrol in Prep.

  • Year 7 – Students are eligible to enter the first year of secondary school, Year 7, after completing primary education.
