Primary School Music
Prep – Year 2 take part in a classroom music program with an emphasis on music appreciation and music theory.
Year 3 – 6 participate in Choir and Band. Students are assessed at the beginning of the year as to aptitude and ability, and then placed in the music program that best caters for them. All students in band and choir groups learn music theory and appreciation and are assessed each semester as part of the reporting system.
Secondary School Music
Years 9 - 10 students can choose Music as an elective subject.
For the Secondary School Choir, students must audition for entry in this choir and be able to sing on pitch. This is a group best suited to students who have experience with singing and/or choir. The students sing more modern repertoire.
The band performs at a variety of school events including Awards Night and Open Day Fair.
