Standard Senior Curriculum Offerings (2021)
Whitsundays College offers a range of standard subject offerings for senior (Years 11 & 12) that helps families to keep the costs of schooling as low as possible. While we support students to achieve a range of learning experiences, only the standard offerings have no extra costs. We value families supporting extra endeavours, those beyond standard, and will seek to facilitate that with families, as circumstances enable.
The following table summarises the standard curriculum offerings at Whitsundays. NB The QCAA website explains in detail the three subject types available: QCAA General Subjects, QCAA Applied Subjects and VET (accessed through RTO’s like CCM’s or TAFE).

WCC offers this subject by distance free of charge
WCC offers this subject by distance with a contribution of $200 from families
WCC offers through TAFE (on campus learning). The first course is paid for by the government, subsequent courses students pay full price
WCC offers through CQU Start TAFE Now program (online learning). The first course (Cert 1 or 2) is paid for by the government, subsequent courses students pay full price. Cert 3 or above is full price for students.
WCC offers through RTO’s (TAFE, CQU, private providers). Students have to pay full price for these courses
